Sometimes rapidly so it’s a blur,
Other times, it crawls on by,
While you and I are contained in a bubble
Where only we exist.

If you were a superhero,
You’re awesome power would be mind reading
Because every time I go to say something
You beat me to it
And you smile as you knowingly
Complete my thoughts and sentences.

If you were a superhero
Your incredible power would be x-ray vision
Because every time I’m with you
I sense you see every inch of me,
Inside and out.
And as naked as it makes me feel,
I love knowing you love me a little more every time

I wish you were a superhero
And I’d want your unbelievable power to be teleportation.
Because above all,
Right now,
All I want is to be next to you.
